Turquoise the color of 2010

by Jenny on December 9, 2009

pantone turquoise spring 2010The color of 2010 has now been decided and Pantone, which tracks colors in the fashion and interior industry, chose turquoise. The reason of the choice was that the color is soothing and reminds people of being on vacation, which they thought we all need after a long and tough year of 2009.

It seems that we are going to see a lot of turquoise as well as pastels next spring according to the trends. I definitely think that an uplifting color such as turquoise is needed after a winter of darker colors. It brings out the feeling of summer and freshness, and goes well with a nice sun tan and some cool accessories. I cannot wait to start experimenting with this new trend!

Hurrah!! This is making me a very happy girl!! I’ve moved to purple a few years ago, as everyone got a bit sick seeing me wear turquoise all the time but it’s finally back!!!!
I’m so going to get to the back of my wardrobe to pull it all out again :D
