3 trends from Milan Fashion Week

by Jenny on October 22, 2009

The Milan Fashion Week 2009 was held at the end of September this year and we could see a lot of big fashion designers in Italy’s favorite fashion city. We have seen endless of fashion reports about the latest collections for Spring 2010. But my big question was, which WERE the new trends for next Spring? Here are 3 trends from Milan Fashion Week 2009. Which trend is your favorite?

1. Lace

We will be seeing a lot of lace for Spring 2010, both dark and lighter colors. The light colored lace will be great for a day outfit and the darker lace for the evenings. What I love about the lace, is that it gives a very feminine look. Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2010 collection brought some amazing pieces to the catwalk. Cannot wait to see this trend in stores!

2. Feminine silhouettes

Lately the trends have been a lot of leather jackets and studs which gives a tougher look, but now we can expect to see more feminine and softer silhouettes and colors. Less zippers and more lacing. The feminine look is coming back to our closets and they are looking cuter than ever.

3. Cargo style

The cargo style seems to be back in fashion, but with a trendy twist. Khaki green trenchcoat-like outfits seems to be a hot trend for next Spring. It’s kind of a mix between cargo and safari style, something we already saw last Spring but this time they are back with trendy twist. Max Mara has created these stunning pieces.
