Shopping tips in Barcelona – Rambla Street and Maremagnum

barcelona shopping1This summer I spent a few days in the amazing city Barcelona and obvioulsy I went shopping crazy! First off I just have to say that Barcelona has become one of my favourite cities in Europe with all that it has to offer. The whole city breathes fashion. First few nights we managed to run into a couple of fashion shows at the slick restaurants/ lounges called Opium and CDLC. At CDLC we booked a table for the Roberto Cavalli night which they organize once a week, something really recommend if you like a night out.

For shopping, Barcelona has a lot to offer. Walking along the famous Rambla Street which has become one of the most biggest symbols of Barcelona, you can find all the Spanish brands and big names like H&M, Zara etc. And if you are looking for the hot boutiques, just turn onto a side street and they are endless. Shops like Rag Shop which offers simple dresses, tops and other items with a mix of materials. Another cool shop that I really liked was Tanus 13, where you can find original handmade printed dresses and handmade leather bags with bold colors. If you continue walking all the way down the street towards the Port Vell you will find the Maremagnum shopping centre. I loved this place, the fact that it’s small but you can spend hours exploring the shops and brands. If you have a lot of time you can surely spend a day at the shopping mall Barcelona Glories with it’s 230 well-known shops.

Once you are in Barcelona I highly recommend to take the sighseeing buses around the city. And don’t forget to visit the famous Park Guell designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi with the beautiful mosaic details and the view over the city.
