In case you have missed the big news, the superstar and football player David Beckham is launching his own bodywear line for H&M this winter.

He had previously told WWD about the collaboration, “The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward.”

“We’re always looking for new ways to surprise and delight our customers, and we see this as a unique opportunity to reach millions of fans and H&M customers. David Beckham is a true style icon and one of the most decorated soccer players of all time,” Steve Lubomski, Director of Marketing for H&M North America, said in a press release.

The bodywear line is set to launch on 2nd February and will be available in 1800 H&M stores worldwide. Good news is that the collection will be rather wallet friendly with a pair of briefs ranging from $15.

This week FashionZest got a chance to interview fashion blogger Claire from Fashion Bomb. We got to learn more about her, her blog and her view of fashion.

Jenny: Let’s start by hearing a little about yourself… who is Claire?
Claire: I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and now live in Brooklyn, New York. I’m a bit of a bookworm, but I have a veritable and passionate love for writing and fashion. I love French, blazers and bling!

Jenny: What led you to write about / be involved in the fashion industry?
Claire: I’ve always loved clothes and truly discovered I liked fashion during my first magazine internship, at Upscale Magazine. By chance I was placed in the fashion and beauty department, and found out I had a flair for writing–and enjoyed playing in clothes.

Jenny: How did Fashion Bomb start?
Claire: It started in August 2006 as a personal blog about me shopping in the city. People started asking me for tips on what to wear, and our whole Mail Bombs section started. I began including celebrities little by little, and found out that it worked well with readers. Showcasing readers, like in our Bombshell of the Day section, started because I decided to move to Paris, but couldn’t find enough fashionable people of color to photograph. So I started asking readers to submit pictures, and one of our most popular features was born!

Jenny: So what is Fashion Bomb about?
Claire: We’re a one stop online destination for everything related to people of color in fashion. We profile industry insiders, take pictures of people on the street, look at celebrity style, and report on fashion news.

Jenny: What do you hope to achieve with Fashion Bomb?
Claire: I want women of color in fashion to know there is a place for them online where they come first. I want to continue to blaze trails in the fashion industry, similar to how Robin Givhan and Andre Leon Talley have done before me.

Jenny: How would you describe your personal style?
Claire: I like classic pieces, but play everything up with statement jewelry and sometimes saucy short hems.

Jenny: Who or what has been your greatest fashion influence?
Claire: In terms of style, I love Jackie O, Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, J.Lo, and Kerry Washington. In terms of my career,  I look up to fashion writers and editors like Robin Givhan, Andre Leon Talley, Cathy Horyn, and Suzy Menkes.

Jenny: Which is your favorite fashion designer at the moment, and why?
Claire: I’ve been wearing a lot of Diane von Furstenberg lately simply because her clothes represent simple, easy, functional, yet feminine dressing.

Jenny: What current fashion trends do you like and dislike the most at the moment?
Claire: I love the asymmetrical hi-lo movement. Hi-lo skirts and dresses are interesting and add a bit of drama to every look. I also adore high slits! I could do away with midi skirts.

Jenny: What would be the one fashion tip you would give to a friend?
Claire: Know your body and dress for it. If you have a belly, don’t wear a skin tight dress. If you have legs, show ‘em off!

Jenny: And finally… as the creator of Fashion Bomb, where do you see the site in 5 years time?
Claire: In five years, I’d love to be the host of a television show that brings what I blog about to life on the small screen. Of course the blog will still be around, but I’d love to just be involved from an editor standpoint, allowing younger writers to do the bulk of the blog’s everyday maintenance.

During the cold winter months, many of us dream about a warmer and sunnier place to run away to and some of us might actually be planning a vacation. Packing for your vacation can sometimes be tricky. You want to bring all your favorite summer pieces, but still leave enough space for some extra shopping. In case you are lost in your packing and need some help, here are some tips on what to take on vacation.

The good thing about packing summer clothes is that they are usually light and don’t take much space in our bags. When packing for your vacation, try and imagine all scenarios during your vacation and what you will be doing. If you are going on a relaxed beach holiday with some sightseeing, try and plan your clothes accordingly. Vary the colors and patterns so that you can mix and match the outfits but at the same time just by using a few pieces. Here are some things that you should bring with you:

1. Dresses. These usually don’t take much space, so pack a few with different styles and patterns. Summer day dresses are usually flowy and can be worn many times without needing a lot of washes. Make sure you bring a maxi dress, because this is a comfortable dress to wear both during the day or in the evening. Bring some shorter dresses, maybe one day dress and one evening dress so you can vary them depending on the occasion.

2. Tops. These are very practical to wear when it gets really hot and they usually don’t take a lot of space. Make sure to bring a top that can cover your shoulders, to avoid getting burned.

3. Shorts. This is a must for a beach holiday. Bring a pair of comfortable shorts, because these might be what you are gonna want to wear almost every day. You can mix and match the tops with your shorts and for the evening you can match them with a nicer blouse or shirt.

4. Swimwear. What is a beach holiday without swimwear? Try and pack different styles of swimwear, like one set of bikini and one-piece. Vary the colors of your swimwear so that you don’t get tired of wearing the same colors everyday.

5. Shoes. When packing shoes, try and bring a great variety because summer shoes tend to give us blisters when we are not used to wearing them all the time. So bring some comfortable sandals and flip flops. For the evenings, bring yourself a pair of heels like comfortable wedges.

6. Accessories. When packing summer clothes, you are gonna need to bring some accessories to match with your outfits. Bring some jewelry that goes well with most of your outfits, so that you don’t need to bring too much. Sunglasses is a must when it comes to accessories, so choose a pair that goes with your style. A summer hat is very useful when going to a hotter climate and where the sun is stronger. Don’t forget to bring a beach bag, where you can fit all your things that you need for the beach or other excursions on your vacation.

Singer Beyonce was seen out Christmas shopping in New York this week, showing off her growing baby bump in yet another stylish ensemble.
