The Olsen twins who conquered the television and movie arena are continuously expanding their empire. The two sisters who are considered to be style icons of today launched their own fashion label in 2008 called The Row. The label includes clothing, shoes and jewelry and now it’s been announced that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are designing sunglasses for Spring 2010. Oversized sunglasses is a signature look of the Olsen twins, so I guess there’s no surprise to anyone that they moved onto designing them as well. They will team up with Linda Farrow, who designs for well known fashion designers like Dries Van Noten and others. There will initially be four different styles of sunglasses: a classic metallic aviator, an oversized square frame, vintage inspired brow-line and a pair of round shades inspired by the 60’s. “Designing eye wear was definitely more complicated than we thought” the sisters told WWD. The shades will be coming out next Spring and which retailers you will be able to find them at will be confirmed next year. The price range for these designer shades will be from $325 up to $390. I cannot wait to see theses shades in stores!
