After seeing fashion designer Alexander Wang’s new collection of accessories for spring 2010 I thought I’d share it with you. His spring 2010 collection includes everything from ankleboots, animal printed heels, sandals and a football shaped clutch. What I really like about this collection is that every piece is unique and doesn’t look anything like the other. The collection feels very playful and creative and I cannot wait to see these on the streets. Alexander definitely did it again, he pulled off another original collection that feels very urban street stylish with a bit of sexyness and an athletic kick. Feels a lot like Wang.

Nicole Richie earlier released a collection of accessories and jewelry and now she’s expanding her brand known as House of Harlow 1960. The new line will be called “Winter Kate” which will be a mix of clothes. The collection includes 37 pieces with dresses, tunics, tops and waistcoats and takes inspiration from Nicole’s boho style. The name “Winter Kate” is taken from her daughter’s middle name. She has also created a shoe collection which features a mix of heels, wedges, moccasin boots and flat sandals. The shoe collection will be launched in January at my-wardrobe.com for Spring/Summer 2010 while the clothing collection will be launched in February.

The zipper style is a hot trend at the moment. We can see zipper covered dresses as well as shoes. When I saw Balmain’s suede zipper ankle boots I just fell for them. The boots created by the french fashion house Balmain are a definite hit and will most probably sell out very soon. The boots gives me a feel of a Michael Jackson inspired look with the cross-over multistraps made with silver zippers. The zippers you can actually zip or unzip so that you can decide what look you want to have for the day. The heels measures 4.5-inches and has a 1-inch concealed platform for improved stability. The price for this shoe is as great as the shoe itself, just about $2000. These amazing boots will definitely attract a lot of envy eyes. What do you think of these boots?

Alexander McQueen is suing Steve Madden for copying his Faithful bootie which was inspired by a motorcycle jacket. Steve Madden’s cheaper version called Seryna bootie is an exact copy of the shoe. Not only has McQueen’s lawyer’s noticed the studied imitation so similar but also bloggers all over the world. McQueen’s lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to Steve Madden in September. But Steve Madden refuses to stop making and selling the Seryna bootie. Steve Madden is known for copying fashion designers and make them into more affordable shoes. Question is, do we want Madden to continue copy high fashion shoes or should he be stopped once and for all?

We can finally get a sneak peak of the Jimmy Choo’s women’s collection for H&M. I’ve been waiting with excitement and I have to say, it has reached higher than my expectations. The collection for women shoes and accessories includes gorgeous dresses, shoes and accessories like bags, belts and bracelets. There’s a mix of animal prints, studded shoes and belts, fringe dresses and over the knee boots, and they all have their own little twist. The shoes will vary between $60 and $200 per piece. The collection will make it’s exclusive appearance in selected H&M stores worldwide on Saturday 14th November, so be ready girls!

“We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too.” Says Tamara Mellon, Founder and President of Jimmy Choo.

It’s not the first time H&M does partnership with famous designers. Earlier we’ve seen collaborations with designers like Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfield, Viktor & Rolf, Matthew Williamson, Madonna, Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons and many more.

This Fall we have a new trend that you will soon be seeing out on the streets. The over the knee boots trend. The boot is often associated with prostitutes but now it has been taken by the fashion designers up on the runway. Now, to look trendy with these boots obviously depends on how you wear them. They go very well with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans as well as a loose dress. You can find them in many different styles of these boots with wedges, small heels or even flat. If you want to go for the really high stiletto make sure you go for a less daring outfit. I prefer the over the knee boots to be worn in a more relaxed outfit like jeans and a floaty top with a boyfriend blazer. You have to be really careful how you wear them, cause no one wants to be mistaken for a prostitute. See how the models on the catwalk wears them as well as the celebrities and get inspired! When I first saw a pair of shoes from shoe designer Camilla Skoovgard, I thought they were a piece of art. My first question was, who is this amazing shoe designer? Her shoes are really trendy at the moment but there is also something very unique about them. Sexy and sophisticated and very simple with only a few straps.

Camilla is originally from Denmark and has won a number of prestigious awards for her work as a shoe designer. The Times says “Intelligent fashionista. Think Arne Jacobsen in couture”.

You can find her shoes with a gladiator style worn by celebrities like Halle Berry and Cindy Crawford on the red carpet. So I will keep on dreaming about these shoes for now.
